Community organisation story

Keeping community work in one working context

Future Together uses Beyond Better to bring planning, administration, communications, and grant work into a context its team can revisit as work develops.

One place for work that crosses many tasks

Future Together is an approved named organisation. Its work can move quickly between planning workshops and events, managing group and event administration and sign-ups, maintaining blog and web material, and preparing flyers, posters, and social content.

Rather than beginning each task from a blank conversation, the organisation uses BB as an organised working context. Relevant plans, prior decisions, event details, and draft material can be brought back into the next piece of work for the team to examine and develop.

Where the context is used

Workshops and events

Plan sessions, work through event details, and prepare group and event administration, including sign-up work.

Public communications

Develop and review blog and website material alongside flyers, posters, and social content informed by the organisation’s existing work.

Grant preparation

Use relevant organisation context as a starting point when preparing applications, then check requirements and make the final submission decisions as a team.

A clearer audit trail

Keep plans, supporting material, drafts, and decisions connected so the people responsible can review what was considered and what needs to happen next.

A grant application with context already prepared

Future Together reports that BB helped prepare a successful Good Things Australia grant application. Because relevant Future Together context was already available, the team reported compressing an application process that otherwise took multiple hours into under 30 minutes.

BB helped prepare the application; it did not cause or guarantee the funding decision. The organisation remained responsible for checking the application, meeting the grant requirements, and submitting it.

People remain responsible for the work

Context makes it easier to prepare and compare material. It does not replace community judgement, consent, fact-checking, accessibility review, or the approvals needed before information is published, sent, or submitted.

Working safeguards

  • • Review event details, dates, sign-up information, and public-facing copy before release.
  • • Check grant criteria, evidence, and declarations against the funder’s requirements.
  • • Keep publication and submission decisions with the people accountable for them.

Bring your next community project into context

Start with the information your group already has, then decide what is useful together.
