Small business website story
Tempat Aman Self Storage Sheds in Bali used Beyond Better as part of a short, owner-led website project.
Shane McRae, owner of Tempat Aman Self Storage Sheds, had no HTML knowledge when she began working from a supplied promotional design direction. She used BB to work through the build and decisions involved in producing the business’s basic website.
The work took place in one afternoon: a couple of hours of active work, with a break. Shane reports using less than US$10 of LLM-token use for this project.
1. Start from a direction
The project began with a design direction rather than an empty brief, giving the owner material to assess and turn into a straightforward web presence.
2. Work through the build
BB supported the owner as she worked through unfamiliar HTML-related tasks, reviewed options, and iterated on the material being prepared.
3. Decide what is published
Shane retained ownership of the site and reviewed the material chosen for publication. BB was part of the process, not the sole builder or decision-maker.
A business owner still needs to check the accuracy of services, contact details, and local requirements, and make the final calls on design, content, and publication. Technical requirements can vary with the site and its provider.
